A Salad For Clear Skin – Avocado Lemon Green Salad

Salads are fantastic for your skin.

Packed with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants; salads are not only nourishing, but anti-inflammatory as well. I can say that I always feel and look a lot better when I have fresh salads in my daily diet. I can definitely see the difference in my skin.

To clear up your breakouts and acne, I strongly recommend that you eat fresh green salads regularly (for best results, eat a salad every single day!).

The salad recipe I’m sharing with you today has been a staple in my diet for many years. It’s a simple and easy salad to make, and what I love most about it is it’s a “skin-friendly” salad.

A lot of you email me that you are eating a super healthy diet, but still getting breakouts – I understand where you are coming from (even some health foods can cause breakouts and acne), and that’s why I put this recipe together for you.

You see, process food, junk food, fast food– all that stuff is all terrible for your skin. And, unfortunately, for some of you, even some health foods and healthy ingredients can be causing havoc on your skin. Later this week, I will post an article and video about what healthy salad ingredients you have to watch out for that might be causing your breakouts.

A Salad For Clear Skin: Avocado Lemon Green Salad

(makes 1-2 servings)

Salad Ingredients:
1 head of Romaine Lettuce (chopped)
8 Cherry Tomatoes (sliced in half)
1/3 Red Bell Pepper (sliced)
1 stalk Celery (chopped)
1/3 Cucumber (thinly sliced)
1/8 Onion (thinly sliced)

Dressing Ingredients:
1/2 Avocado (diced)
1/8 Lemon (juice of)
Pinches of Salt & Pepper

1- Prepare all salad ingredients and put in a large mixing bowl.
2- Mix avocado, lemon juice, salt and pepper in a small bowl.
3- Tranfer avocado dressing to the salad and mix thoroughly.
4- For best results, massage salad dressing into salad by hand.

    Tried it with lime juice and added pico de gallo instead of straight tomato and onion
