My story is that I tried all sorts of healthy diets to clear up my skin. I was a vegetarian for 25 years, and was dairy-free and gluten-free at different times as well - but none of these diets cleared up my skin. In fact, my skin was at it ultimate worst when I was a vegetarian. It was only when I went on a raw food diet did my skin completely clear up, but even then, there were certain health foods, superfoods and supplements that would give me breakouts.
To sum up my situation, I was pretty much on the world's most restrictive diet to get rid of adult acne, and even then, I still had to watch everything I was eating because there were still some health foods giving me problems.

When I eventually transitioned off the raw food diet and started eating a regular whole food diet again that included both cooked and raw foods, some meats, and even some treats - my skin remained completely clear. All these years, as long as I stay away from all the foods that cause me to have acne and breakouts, I don't have issues with my skin.
