I am a firm believer in the amazing powers of regular exercise and what it can do for your body, health, mood, energy – and skin.

For me, one of my favourite secret weapons for clear, glowing skin, is regular exercise. I see the difference when I’m exercising and when I’m not.

Exercise will make your skin radiant, fresh, healthy, and alive. I find if you exercise regularly and really build up a sweat every time you exercise, this can help decongest your skin, keep your pores clear of buildup and debris, speed up the healing of breakouts, and stimulate the turnover of dead skin cells.

Regular exercise that gets your heart rate up and gets you sweating; will give softer, smoother, clearer skin.

But, there’s certain things about exercise and acne you need to know.

Exercise and Acne – Mistakes To Avoid

There’s things in your skin care routine, and even in your exercise routine that can mess up your skin while exercising, sabotaging your results.

I know a lot of people who start exercising in hopes of clearing up their skin, but the reverse happens. Their skin breaks out more, and every time they exercise their skin gets red, itchy, and inflamed.

A lot of that has to do with what you are using on your skin before, after, and while you are working out. Your skin care products and skin care routine need to be compatible with exercising and sweating. There’s a lot of products and ingredients no one should be using while they workout, or even right after.

Watch today’s video about exercise and acne. Find out what’s the best type of exercise for helping to clear up acne, what’s the best acne skin care routine before and after you workout, and what products and ingredients you should avoid using when you have active acne and are exercising.

I want exercising to work for you, not against you!
