Last week I turned 43. Every year around my birthday I like doing a blog post and video about anti-aging. It’s a tradition, and anti-aging is one of my favourite topics. As much as I’m drawn to anti-aging, what’s even more important (and effective) is “preventative anti-aging”.
We can’t stop the aging process, but I believe we can improve it. We can slow it down, and do things with our lifestyle, diet and skincare routine to age gracefully, beautifully and confidently.
Every single effort counts. And it’s never too late. But, if you can start taking care of yourself, your skin, and body at a younger age before the signs of aging starts kicking in, you’ll be at a much better advantage. You will reap the rewards later on and thank yourself for putting in the effort.
A while ago, one of my subscribers asked me if I could do a video for our younger audience on anti-aging. She wanted to know what natural anti-aging tips I have for someone in their 20s or early 30s, who wants to age well (and prevent wrinkles, lines, sagging skin, dark spots, and all the other lovely things that come as we age).
I have plenty of anti-aging tips on what to do with your skincare routine and lifestyle to preserve the youthfulness of your skin, plus, a lot of tips on what NOT to do!
Now that I’m in my 40s, I’m seeing how my lifestyle and skincare routine from my younger years has affected my skin and appearance as I’m getting older. These tips that I’m sharing with you today aren’t just your regular anti-aging tips or theory, but the proof of my own efforts, and what’s really worked, and what hasn’t.
There’s a lot of things I’m happy I did, that have kept me youthful. But, there’s also some things I wished I knew not to have done, because they messed up my skin!
